Brief History of CGMi Sunderland
CGMi Sunderland began with a divine encounter in October 2023, when God laid it on our hearts to plant a Church in the City Sunderland. On December 31, 2023, four of us Our Senior Pastor Rev. Joseph Adebola, Rev. Godwin Enyogai, Pastor Destiny Adebola, and Master Praise Adebola, travelled to London to meet our Zonal Coordinator United Kingdom Rev. Obi Madunagu. He and his family warmly received us, gave his fatherly counsel, and released us with his blessing and approval to begin the work. With this blessing, we held our first online service on January 7th, 2024, and continued online fellowship until May 12, 2024, when we gathered for our first physical service in our present auditorium. Just a week later, on May 19, 2024, the church was officially inaugurated by Rev. Obi Madunagu. From that day, it has been forward ever, backward never grace upon grace, testimonies upon testimonies, with nothing missing and nothing broken. What began as a small fellowship is growing into a family church, reaching people of diverse nations and backgrounds across the United Kingdom.
CGMi Sunderland is:
